Core rule
Every launch should be reversible, observable, and incremental.
Execution Phases
Phase 01Pre-launch checklist
Work through code quality, security, performance, accessibility, infrastructure and documentation items.
Phase 02Flags and rollback plan
Decouple deploy from release with feature flags, and write a rollback plan with triggers and steps before deploying.
Phase 03Staged rollout
Go staging, production with flag off, internal, 5% canary, then wider, advancing, holding or rolling back on error-rate and latency thresholds.
Phase 04Post-launch checks
In the first hour, check the health endpoint, errors, latency, the critical flow and logs, and confirm rollback works.
Permissions (summarised from SKILL.md)
| Capability | Needed | Details |
|---|---|---|
| File writes | Required | Adds feature-flag and error-reporting code, writes the rollback plan, and updates docs such as the README and changelog. |
| Command execution | Required | Runs tests, build, lint, type checks and dependency audits like npm audit; rollback may use git revert. |
| Network outbound | Not required | The skill does not ask the agent to deploy or call external services itself; the team runs the rollout and monitoring per the plan. |
