Core rule

Never change what the code does, only how it does it.

Execution Phases

  1. Phase 01Identify recent changes

Focus on code modified in the current session unless explicitly told to review a broader scope.

  2. Phase 02Analyze opportunities

Look for unnecessary nesting, redundant code and abstractions, unclear names, comments that restate obvious code, and nested ternaries.

  3. Phase 03Apply project standards

Follow CLAUDE.md conventions such as ES modules, the function keyword, explicit return types and Props types, choosing clarity over brevity.

  4. Phase 04Verify and document

Confirm functionality is unchanged and the code is simpler to maintain, documenting only significant changes that affect understanding.
