## Core rule

Every finding needs a concrete case showing which input or situation leads to a wrong result; no case, no finding.

## Execution Phases

1. **Understand first** — Read the diff plus callers, called functions, tests and README, trace the data flow, and find the expected load in the repo.
2. **Look for problems** — Check in order for bugs, security and data-loss risks, scale problems, missing tests, speed, and code that should not exist.
3. **Check before reporting** — Re-read the lines to confirm each finding, propose the smallest fix and prefer deletions, with no style taste or vague worries.
4. **Report in plain English** — Start with what the change does, list numbered findings under must fix, should fix and nice to have, and end with a verdict.

## Permissions (summarised from SKILL.md)

| Capability | Needed | Details |
|---|---|---|
| File writes | Not required | Lists findings and changes no code. |
| Command execution | Limited | Limited to read-only commands for viewing the diff and grepping callers. |
| Network outbound | Not required | The instructions include no network access. |

Quality review of a change: is the logic right, is it safe, does it hold
under real load, is risky code tested, is it fast enough, and is every line
needed. Reads the connected code, not only the diff. Each finding is
explained in plain English. Use for "review this", "code review", "review
the last commit", "review my PR", "is this over-engineered", /ponytail-review.
