## Core rule

Build once and promote the same artifact through all environments.

## Execution Phases

1. **Gather inputs** — Pin down app type, deploy target, environment topology, rollback requirements, gate constraints and monitoring stack.
2. **Stages and gates** — Order build, test and security scans, staging, approval, production and verification; run fast checks first and add manual or metric gates.
3. **Choose rollout strategy** — Pick rolling, blue-green, canary (e.g. Argo Rollouts) or feature flags, with annotated configuration.
4. **Health checks and rollback** — Use deep readiness checks that hit real dependencies plus post-deploy smoke scripts, and roll back automatically on health or metric failure.
